It will not set the same code for camshaft sensor error, that has its own set of codes for crankshaft errors. Basically it is not seeing a signal from the camshaft because its not seeing the completed circuit. Sensor or wiring issue most likely.There is no code for crank sensor or anything like that. The only codes are: P0090, P0193, U0105, U0106. Then a couple that say stuff about class 2 data link, front wheel speed sensor, and outside temp sensor, but these only show up when i read the codes with my V2. Mine was loosing prime and would either stall or not start. I did 2 things to fix the problem. I rebuilt the primer on the fuel filter housing and replace the bleed screw on the filter housing. That fixed my problem. Someone makes a billet bleed screw.The duramax engine has a long history of breaking cranks at that location. This is so much of a common issue that people have created cam shafts with altered firing orders to try to remove the stress from that point on the crank.
