I do have a RR also, never experienced your specific issue but it's common to have to also 'fiddle' with the cylinder to get everything to line up. FWIW: this is also the case with my Ruger Single six and blackhawk revolvers, as there is wiggle room in the cylinder but precision in getting that cylinder rod to line up just right.
